This was my first ever official capture and encounter with a tornado. I was able to first hand see, hear, and feel a tornado at close range. A true inspiration for me with my passion of nature and photography.

In September of 2019, there was an isolated thunderstorm between Ames and Des Moines metro. This was captured from Ames looking south toward the Des Moines, Johnston area.
